I have a HUGE amount of love for milkybar which is why I decided to give this recipe a try. I also wanted to try a tray bake as I am always baking cupcakes.
Ingredients:
575g milkybar chocolate (melted)
250g unsalted butter (melted)
300g icing sugar
200g shortbread (crushed)
100g milk chocolate (melted)
Any toppings e.g. smarties, milykbar eggs and milkybar mix ups
Method:
Melt 275g of the milkybar chocolate. You can do this on the hob or in the microwave.
Melt 250g of butter (I prefer to do this on the hob)
Mix the melted butter and the melted milky bar chocolate together in a separate bowl. You just need to use a spoon to do this. Then put the bowl to the side.
Put 300g of icing sugar and 200g of crushed shortbread into a bowl and mix it all together. To crush the shortbread, just used a rolling pin or a spoon.
Then add the bowl with the melted butter and chocolate (wet ingredients) into the icing sugar and shortbread mixture and mix!
Next transfer the mixture into a baking tray and pat it down flat using the back of a spoon. This forms the base of the traybake. (top tip: the base might appear very wet. The best thing to do is dad it with kitchen roll or add more icing sugar).
PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE FOR 30 MINUTES!!
Melt 300g of the remaining milky bar chocolate and spread it onto the top of the base when it comes out the fridge. You can add more than 300g of milky bar chocolate if you want!
Then melt the milk chocolate and drizzle over the white chocolate.
Now it is time to decorate it using whatever toppings you have bought. Once decorated, put it in the fridge for 1 hour.
Finally, ENJOY!!!
